Wyoming Woman Captures National Title, Ms. Essence 2010!




On Saturday August 28, 2010, Brandi Lea Nash captured the first Ms. Essence crown at the National Essence Pageant in Kansas City, MO. When asked how she felt about being Ms. Essence, Brandi replied, "I am thrilled! I worked really hard and it paid off. I am more than honored to represent the Essence system." She also won Best in Evening Gown, Best in Interview, the Photogenic Award, a business award and website award. Women from all over the United States competed and 5 became the 2010 Reigning Queens: Miss Teen Essence, Miss Essence, Mrs. Essence, Ms. Essence and Mrs. Classic Essence.



In the coming year Brandi will promote her platform: Show Time! Life Is Not a Dress Rehearsal. She hopes to encourage others to not put off for tomorrow what can be accomplished today. In the last 18 months Brandi has lost 100 lbs. She wants to inspire others to make their own dreams a reality. Brandi will be making appearances throughout the year and will have her supportive family right there by her side.



Brandi shared the special evening with her husband of 11 years, Jeremy Nash. Jeremy and Brandi have 2 children: Andrew, 10 years old and Juliana, 4 years old. Brandi and her family live in Cheyenne, WY where Jeremy is a Master Sergeant in the WY Air National Guard and Brandi is a full time mom. In addition, Brandi is a make-up artist, pageant coach, model, and lends her voice to radio ads.
